Qui aurait pu imagnier il y a quelques mois qu’une suspension Estampapier serait en exposition à Falls Church Arts? Personne et surtout pas moi. Mais contre toute attente et pour mon plus grand plaisir c’est ce qui est arrivé.

Samedi soir j’ai participé à la soirée de lancement de cette première exposition américaine à laquelle je participe. Falls Church est à quelques minutes de chez moi, la ville d’à côté où il fait bon vivre. La galerie est parfaitement placée et ceux qui habitent la région pourront en profiter pendant deux mois. Le thème est Bits and Pieces, collage et morceaux, je crois que je suis dans le thème, qu’en pensez-vous? 

Who could have imagined a few months ago that an Estampapier suspension would be on display at Falls Church Arts? No one and especially not me. But against all odds and to my great pleasure, that’s what happened.

Saturday night I attended the launch party of this first American exhibition in which I am participating. Falls Church is just a few minutes from my home, the town next door where life is good. The gallery is perfectly placed and those who live in the area will be able to enjoy it for two months. The theme is Bits and Pieces, I think I’m on the right track, what do you think? 

Samedi soir, accompagnée de Catherine, j’ai découvert les oeuvres des quelques quarante artistes, certains artistes et des invités de marque. Lisa et Matthieu Murphy venus du Maryland, Keith mon professeur d’anglais et sa femme. Pas toujours facile de trouver les bons mots pour expliquer mon travail, je bute parfois, mais je peux compter sur Catherine, toujours là pour m’aider. 

Last night, accompanied by Catherine, I discovered the works of some forty artists, some artists and distinguished guests. Lisa and Matthieu Murfy from Maryland, Keith my English teacher and his wife. Not always easy to find the right words to explain my work, I sometimes stumble, but Catherine always there to support me, flies to my rescue at the slightest glance from me.

Rien ne vaut le plaisir de partager ma passion avec d’autres artistes talentueux et je prépare déjà une prochaine exposition au même endroit pour le mois de janvier, si on m’accepte bien entendu. Pour tous ceux qui pourront se déplacer je serai de permanence les jeudis 1er décembre de 11H à 13H30, 8 décembre et jeudi 5 janvier même heure. Sur les photos vous pouvez voir la joie et la fièreté qui m’habitent, j’espère que ce pas sera le premier d’une belle série d’expositions et de ventes. Je vous laisse admirer quelques oeuvres que j’ai aimées.

Nothing beats the pleasure of sharing my passion with other talented artists and I am already preparing a next exhibition at the same place for January, if I am accepted of course. For all those who will be able to move I will be on duty on Thursday December 1st from 11H to 13H30, December 8th and Thursday January 5th same time. On the pictures you can see the joy and pride that I feel, I hope this step will be the first of a beautiful series of exhibitions and sales. I let you admire some of the works that I appréciate.
